Fried Tofu (Bean curd)

takes 20 minutes (with soaking etc.)
for 4 persons
Ingredients
1 tbs salt
5 tsp Chinese five spice powder
400 g firm tofu
vegetable oil (for deep frying)

Preparation
Cut the tofu in pieces, each about 50 g.
Mix the Chinese five spice and the salt.
Coat the tofu pieces with mixture and set aside for 1 hour.
Heat the oil in a wok or a deep pan until it is very hot.
Reduce the heat.
Add the tofu pieces (not more than two at once).
Fry for five minutes until golden brown.
Keep warm until all pieces are fried.
